An interesting fact that I just found out while searching for a way to put into context the horror genre is that After Dark Films started annual celebration of the horror genre in 2006. It is called Horrorfest. This year, in theaters, films of the horror genre will be shown from November 9th – 18th. I have chosen a particular trailer that promotes the Horrorfest, because it has the definition of horror. It connects the definition with scenes of horror films. In other words, it gives us an understanding through words but also with the visual of horror films. My hope is that the horror context, is better understood with this trailer and if you have time, check out the Horrorfest.
