Their success soared thru the 1930s and 40s, with movies like: Frankenstein, Dracula, and The Wolf Man. In the 1950s, and 60s saw movies such as: The Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Mummy, and Night of the Living Dead. The 70s and 80s gave rise to the now popular characters: Freddy Kruger, Michael Meyers, and Chucky. The horror genre today is more or less a blend of new ideas and remakes of classic films of earlier decades.
