horror films

Horror films are meant to scare us, by making us feel the fear of the actors. In order to accomplish the mission to scare the viewers, horror films deals with our most primal nature and its fears. Such as: nightmares, vulnerability, alienation, revulsion, terror/fear of the unknown, fear of death and dismemberment, loss of identity, and our fear of sexuality. Things like this are always present in a horror movie, for the purpose to give an opening into the scary world similar to the vivid imaginations we use to see ghosts in shadowy shapes, to be emotionally connected to the unknown and to fear the things that are improbable.
