The fate of the world in your hands, Alien the video game.


Back in the day it wasn't about the most realistic video game graphics, or making billions of dollars. It was more about the better story and a more intriguing game all around. When I play Halo 3 I have tons of fun, yet I feel that there is something missing. Sure I can plan which enemy I'm going to slaughter first, but ultimately I am better off crazily running into battle. What's missing? STRATEGY.
When I watched Alien, it did cross my mind that it kind of looks like a video game, and it has a video game-like premise. Then I came across the link for the original Alien game. The game was made in 1984, it used mainly black and white graphics, deviating from those colors only to differentiate between character blips on the screen. The graphics were not what drove the game though. Alien was a complete strategy game, in which gamers took control of the Nostromo's crew and carried out the movie's plot.
