Alien

The material that I link to is a review by Roger Ebert on the Alien. Roger Ebert called Alien (and John Carpenter's Halloween) "the most influential of modern action pictures". He went on to say that many of "the films it influenced studied its thrills but not its thinking", including the re-make of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. He likes this movie and thinks this movie is a great original.
