Life as a House
Kevin Kline and Hayden Christensen flex some serious acting muscles in just the right places to make this film about a distant divorced father's (Kline) last attempt to reach out to his rebelious stoner son (Christensen) as he has only monthes to live before he will die of cancer, unknown to his family. Life as a House redefinesthe term "love story" in that every character in the movie eventually establishes an individual affection for each other characters, all due to Kline's project of rebuilding his worn down shack. Kline takes on a God teacher role, with Hayden being his most obvious pupil. I haven't met anyone who didn't thouroughly enjoy this film after watching it.
