Saving Private Ryan
Have you ever seen a war movie and wondered, "Why does this have to be the same old shoot 'em up movie where the hero always wins?" Well if you're looking for a change, this is the movie for you. Now I realize those last few sentences sounded like i was trying to pitch something to you. But this really is one of my favorite movies, and I would highly recommend it to you. Whether you are a war movie fan like me, or not, this contains a story of a private who is part of a family of four. Three of his brothers have died in combat and he is the last left in the family. So with the army's policy of pulling the last son in each family to be sent home. A squadron of soldiers, who were involved in the amphibious invasion of D-Day, are assigned to go out on a search and rescue mission and bring "Private Ryan" home. It has it's war-like moments, but it is also a story involving each of the soldiers lives and feelings. It is a pretty heavy movie and is a bit graffic for the first 20 minutes. I will try to put up a trailer so you can get a taste of it.
