Alien:The History

While searching for 'Alien' articles I came across a blog on Blogger by a fan named Dan. This blog is not a review, although it seems Dan does enjoy the movie, it is more informative on the history of the movie and how it came to be. He first explains how director Ridley Scott became involved with screenwriters Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett. He continues his review of special effects and alien designer H.R. Giger. Dan claimed that, "It was Giger's work that would have the biggest impact on Alien. His dark, sinister, frighteningly sexual designs were startling creations, and represented an entirely different approach to showing an alien creature on film." Dan closes his blog by mentioning a few fun trivia facts include that 130 alien eggs were created for the chamber scene. This blog includes a lot of interesting information on the making of 'Alien' and it is a must read!
