Short and Sweet...

This view is short and sweet about a not so short and not so sweet film. Channel 4 gave Alien a five star rating for "a benchmark of extra-terrestrial horror." The review notes the lasting impact Alien had over other horror films; how there are many obvious "rip-offs" from this film, making this a legend. The film combines horror, slasher, suspense and "good old fashioned sci-fi." Alien set the bar higher for following horror movies. They throw their hats off to Sigourney Weaver "who showed her pants, battled the bitch, went back for the cat - and never looked back."
