Acts of Worship

Acts of Worship is directed by Rosemary Rodriguez who portrays Alix (Ana Reeder), a young woman who comes from a middle class family and finds herself in the gruesome hands of the streets. She is submerged into the dark hidden world of the city, a world filled with sex, violence and drugs.

Alix becomes a homeless prisoner of the streets of New York. Struggling to keep her composure, Alix does whatever necessary to get what she wants. She becomes a drug addict and along her journey many of the unthinkable happen.

Along her journey she comes along Digna (Michael Hyatt), who is a recovering addict. Digna notices how troubled appears to be, that in a way ends up seeing a young Digna in the eyes of Alix.

Digna decides to take her under her refuge and she does everything necessary to get her on the right track. At the same time, Digna is struggling and trying to get her career rolling. Digna is a professional photographer. After so much has happened, Digna is really stressed and happy with her magazine deal. Soon after this Alix gets into trouble with Digna, she unveils a side she has hidden for such a long time.

This movie brings out the reality to the actual world outside our windows. Being one of my favorite movies, unlike many others, depicts the situations in a more real manner. This movie also gives out a powerful message of how things are in today world.

At the end the unimaginable happens and shows how powerful the matters in the streets are.
This movie is one of the few that actually depict the move in such an honest and truthful matter.
