This review was written by Jeremy Conrad on September 11, 2001. It takes a while for Mr. Conrad to get to the point but he finally does"When the movie opens, the Trade Federation has blockaded a peaceful planet known as Naboo. This is part of an elaborate scheme by the future Emperor, Senator Palpatine, to gain power and a higher seat in the Republic. Of course thanks to a guise of Lord Sidious the Senator can remain innocent in the eyes of the main players in the story, thus "The Phantom Menace".
